Ivermectin is white crystalline powder, odorless. It is freely soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, practically insoluble in water, and slightly hygroscopic. Ivermectin is a semisynthetic macrolide multi-component antibiotic, which mainly contains ivermectin B1 (Bla + B1b) content of not less than 93%, of which Bla content of not less than 85%.

Description

 Ivermectin CAS 70288-86-7 introduction:

01.Ivermectin is a new kind of highly efficient semi-synthetic antibiotic insecticide, acaricide and nematocide, belonging to insect nerve agent and biopenetrant.

02.The mechanism of action is to interfere with the neurophysiological activities of pests, Chemicalbook stimulates the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid, acts on nerve and muscle joints, increases the release of chloride ions, inhibits the information transmission of nerve joints, and leads to paralysis and death of pests and harmful mites.

03.Ivermectin is widely used in gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms and parasitic arthropods in cattle, sheep, horses, pigs, intestinal nematodes in dogs, ear mites, sarcoptes, heartworm and microfilaria, and gastrointestinal nematodes and ectoparasites in poultry.



USE:
01.
Ivermectin contains at least 80% of 22, 23-dihydroavermectinB1A. And not more than 20% of 22, 23-Dihydroavermectinb1b. Like white powder. [α]D+71.5°±3°(C=0.755, chloroform).

02.UV maximum absorption of Chemicalbook(methanol) : 238,245 nm(ε 27,100,30100). Solubility in water is about 4μg/ml. Highly soluble in methyl ethyl ketone, propylene glycol or polypropylene glycol, insoluble in saturated hydrocarbons such as cyclohexane. B1a: [71827-03-7]. From ethanol-water crystallization, melting point 155 ~ 157ºC.


03.It is an antiparasitic agent with repellent activity against nematode, hookworm, roundworm, worm, insect and mite.
It is effective in the treatment and control of penifilariasis, and the adverse reactions are lower than that of ethamine.

Ivermectin is routinely used to control parasitic worms in the gastrointestinal tract of ruminant animals. These parasites normally enter the animal when it is grazing, pass the bowel, and set and mature in the intestines, after which they produce eggs that leave the animal via its droppings and can infest new pastures. Ivermectin is effective in killing some, but not all, of these parasites.In dogs it is routinely used as prophylaxis against heartworm.
This product has a selective inhibitory effect, by binding to the high affinity of chloride channels with glutamate as the valve in nerve cells and muscle cells of spinless animals, which leads to the increase of permeability of cell membranes to chloride ions, causes hyperpolarization of nerve cells or muscle cells, and causes paralysis or death of parasites. It also interacts with chloride channels of other ligand valves, such as the neurotransmitter g-aminobutyric acid (GABA). The selectivity of this product is because some mammals do not have glutamate-chloride channels in vivo, and avermectin has only low affinity for mammalian ligand-chloride channels. This product cannot penetrate the human blood-brain barrier. Onchocerciasis and strongyloidiasis and hookworm, ascaris, Trichuris trichiura, and Enterobius vermicularis infections.
Ivermectin is a medication used to treat many types of parasite infestations. Ivermectin is used to treat animals diseases caused by roundworms and ectoparasites. 
In veterinary medicine, it is used to prevent and treat heartworm and acariasis, among other indications.
